A baby has prepared her parents for parenthood in a hilarious way before she is even born by giving them a rude sign during her ultrasound scan.
The “sassy” unborn baby showed her parents they had their work cut out for them when she flipped her middle finger.
The hilarious moment was captured when the little baby, named Elora, was just 20 weeks okay.
Her mother Jennifer Parks couldn’t believe it, and said the baby is showing she has “attitude.”
Jennifer, 35, from Rocklin, in California, USA, took a picture of the moment.
The mother-to-be said: “We were all laughing. It was hilarious. She was already showing us she has sass and attitude.
“We were laughing. We were not expecting that.”
Even a seasoned medical professional couldn’t believe what she was witnessing.
Jennifer added: “The technician was so floored by it she asked if she could get a photograph of it.
“It was hilarious. We were like, ‘what are we getting ourselves into with this chick? She’s not even out of the womb yet and she’s already showing sass.’ I’ve got my work cut out for me.”
What is more, it appears this penchant for using crude gestures runs in the Parks family.
Elora is not the only one to enjoy employing a rude gesture as a method of greeting people.
The mum believes that the ultrasound picture, taken in May last year, captures the presence of her late grandmother Mary Lou Park who was known for giving her middle finger as a way to say hello.
Jennifer said: “I showed my family and they said that my grandma used to flip people off all the time.
“It was how she said hi and so my grandpa [Jack Parks] said it is my grandma saying hello.
“I didn’t even think about it but maybe it was. Maybe that was her presence saying she’s still alive.”
When she was three months old, Elora was captured giving her middle finger again in another hilarious photograph taken by the mum.
Jennifer, a call centre representative, said: “You have to look for it but there is no mistaking she is flipping the bird. It is hilarious.
“It was like she was reminding me that she’s still sassy. She is already quite cheeky.”
Another recent viral hit was an optical illusion which asked internet users to to count the number of colours in a grid.
