She is the single most powerful superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So where the Thanos has she been when the world and the entire universe needed her the most?
Early plot details have revealed that the Captain Marvel movie is set in the 1980s and starts on Earth. So what happens at the end and where does she go so that Nick Fury can only reach her with a desperate pager message?

While this may affect Earth, it would be very odd that none of their technology has been referenced so far in all the other Earth-based MCU movies. Nor do tech geniuses like Tony Stark or the Wakandans ever refer to Kree or Skrulls. In fact if they had attacked Earth in any way, surely everbody would have heard of them?
The complete absence of any references leads to one main conclusion.
Most theories concur that Captain Marvel herself will be drawn away from Earth once she assumes her full powers. She will most likely leave to continue fighting the war.
It makes sense that she has not been on Earth or anywhere near it for the past 30 years, otherwise the other heroes, at least, would surely talk about her? Let alone the fact that Nick Fury is in the Captain Marvel, so he has definitely known about her all along.
So, why didn’t he call her for any of the other alien invasion crises? Does Thanos feature in some way in Captain Marvel movie, even off screen? Does she leave to find a way to defeat him?
