Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus LIVE: Real Madrid demand more money, Man Utd make contact

Saturday July 7

Ronaldo to Juventus backed

Cristiano Ronaldo will revitalise Serie A if he joins Juventus from Real Madrid.

That’s the verdict of former Italy international Christian Vieri, who spent a year in Turin himself.

“For Italian football it would be like winning the lottery,” said Vieri.

“People don’t talk about Serie A much abroad, because there aren’t the superstars there were in the past. Ronaldo would revitalise it.

“Even I would be more motivated to watch the league, every Sunday the world would be wondering what Juventus did and how many goals Cristiano scored.”

Man Utd make contact

Manchester United have been in touch with Real Madrid regarding a deal for Juventus target Cristiano Ronaldo, reports claim.

Ronaldo has long-been linked with a return to United if he quits Real before calling time on his career.

And it seems Old Trafford chiefs are keen on a reunion with the Portugal international, who made his name in the north west.

The Independent claim United have contact Real to make an enquiry over Ronaldo’s availability this summer.

However, they were given the cold shoulder with Ronaldo looking set to join Juventus once a price is agreed.

Real Madrid demand more money

Real Madrid have reportedly moved the goalposts as Cristiano Ronaldo attempts to secure a switch to Juventus.

Ronaldo is eager to call time on his spell in Spain to try his hand at a fresh challenge in the form of Serie A.

And Juventus are believed to have offered a mega £88m (€100m) in an attempt to secure his services.

However, Italian newspaper La Stampa claim Real are demanding Juventus fork out more money for Ronaldo.

They say Real now have a fee of £133m (€150m) in mind, with £115m (€130) the absolute minimum they will accept.
