This year’s match card on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York promises a lot of excitement with various WrestleMania-worthy bouts.
According to Ringside News, huge blockbuster matches are rumoured to be set to take place next month and some of WWE’s biggest names may return to action.
The Undertaker made his comeback last night at Madison Square Garden in New York during a live event where he teamed up with Roman Reigns as well as Braun Strowman and beat Kevin Owens, Elias and Baron Corbin.
Undertaker may also return for another big match at SummerSlam where he could reignite his feud with John Cena whom he destroyed at WrestleMania 34 in less than three minutes.
Reigns takes on Bobby Lashley this Sunday at Extreme Rules and one of them may go on to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.
Lesnar hasn’t competed since the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia three months ago where he won a controversial Steel Cage Match against The Big Dog.
Reigns speared the Universal Champion through the cage but wasn’t awarded the belt even though his feet touched the floor first.
AJ Styles may retain the WWE Championship against Rusev this Sunday at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and could go on to start a feud with his former TNA rival Samoa Joe.
That means the fans will finally get to see Styles and Joe collide for the first time in WWE in a match that no one thought they would ever see again.
Ronda Rousey was handed a kayfabe 30-day suspension after launching a savage attack on new RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle and two referees.
However, Rousey’s suspension will have ended by the time SummerSlam comes by and she will look to win the title from Bliss who ruined her championship bid at Money in the Bank.
Daniel Bryan has reformed the legendary tag team of Team Hell No with Kane and will challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules.
However, it seems like Team Hell No won’t have a successful reunion as Bryan will either face Kane or his legendary nemesis The Miz at SummerSlam.
Sasha Banks and Bayley’s feud has finally started as the two RAW superstars have brawled many times on RAW.
It now seems like Banks and Bayley will rekindle their NXT rivalry and that could lead to a match at the biggest show of the summer.
