Liverpool transfer news: Reds launch Paulo Dybala approach as Juve make room for Ronaldo | Football | Sport

The Serie A champions are hoping to seal the deal for Ronaldo in time to unveil him this Saturday after lodging an £88m bid.

And Liverpool have moved to test the waters by asking about Dybala, according to tuttomercatoweb.

Liverpool are reported to have held talks with Italian agent Gustavo Mascardi to see if a deal is possible and are ready to make a ‘concrete offer’.

Ronaldo’s move to Juventus is rumoured to be being funded by Fiat but the likelihood is that they will still have to sell players.

Gonzalo Higuain and Dybala are their most sellable assets and could both be on the move to make room for Ronaldo.

Liverpool have been looking for a marquee attacking signing all summer and looked close to signing Nabil Fekir last month.

But the deal broke down after issues in the medical, although there is a chance the move could be reignited after the World Cup.

Dybala, however is a new target and would fit the bill in terms of a player who can play across the front line.

Liverpool were sensational at times last season with a front trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

But they came unstuck in the Champions League final when Salah had to go off with Adam Lallana coming in as back up.

And Klopp has made finding an alternative forward a priority this summer.

Liverpool look set to sign Xherdan Shaqiri in the coming days following Switzerland’s World Cup exit.

But he wanted Fekir to really up the level of his squad, and now could move for Dybala instead.

There have been suggestions Dybala may be used in the deal to see Ronaldo join Juve by going in the opposite direction, and he has been linked with Real Madrid in the past.

Barcelona have also shown interest and, after failing to lang Antoine Griezmann, are in the market for a forward.

But Liverpool are the first team to make a move and Klopp would love to have the forward in for the early stages of pre season.
