Meghan Markle, 37, stepped out in London today to meet with students from the Commonwealth now studying in the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is currently expecting her first child with Prince Harry, 34, arrived at the University of London this afternoon which is one of the institutes in Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
Established in 1913, the ACU is one of the world’s oldest international university networks, with more than 500 member institutions in over 50 countries.
Her Royal Highness is visiting the organisation for the first time since the Queen, who became the charity’s patron in 1986, passed on her patronage to the Duchess earlier this year.
Meghan chose a black ensemble for her outing today.
Wearing her hair in a stylish high bun, the Duchess arrived in a black dress with a round neckline coat featuring cape-like shoulders.
The expectant mother added a pair of nude pumps to her monochrome look.
During last year’s visit to Fiji, Meghan announced new Gender Grants for ACU member universities in the Pacific to fund learning initiatives aimed at empowering female university staff and promoting gender equality.
Braving the cold January weather, the stylish royal attended her second royal engagement of the week.
Yesterday, Prince Harry’s wife visited the National Theatre in London for the first time since succeeding the Queen as its patron.
Meghan, who is heavily pregnant, showed off her growing baby bump in a peach dress and matching suit jacket during the engagement.
Her Majesty the Queen has passed on four parsonages to the Duchess of Sussex.
As well as the above, Her Royal Highness also adds Smart Works and Mayhew to her working portfolio.
