Salah has been fighting to be fit for Egypt’s first game of the tournament after suffering a dislocated shoulder in Liverpool‘s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid on May 26.

Yesterday, Egypt boss Hector Cuper said Salah would definitely feature saying: “I can almost assure you 100% he will play, save unforeseen circumstances at the very last minute.

“He could become the top goalscorer here and one of the greatest players.”

But Salah has been forced to settle for a place on the bench after seemingly failed to fully recover in time.
