But the PSG and Brazil striker seemed in no mood to discus the rumours.
Neymar is back of Barcelona’s radar less than two years afters acrimonious split from the club.
The Brazil superstar left in a hostel £200m transfer to PSG in the summer of 2017.
Neymar has since outshone the French top flight and there are claims he could soon angle for a move back to Spain.
Real Madrid are interested in the 26-year-old but the most recent reports suggest Barca could go back in for him.
Neymar has been pestered about his future for the past 12 months and was again asked for his view of Barcelona’s interest on Friday night.
The playmaker had just starred in Brazil’s 1-0 win over Uruguay at the Emirates Stadium, where Neymar scored the winner from the penalty spot.
But he was in no mood to delve into his PSG future.
Asked by a group of Spanish journalists if he is aware of Barcelona’s interest, Neymar simply smiled and then shook his head in denial.
He would not answer the question and soon the topic went on to focus on Luis Suarez – the Uruguayan striker who struck up a partnership with Neymar while the pair were both at Barcelona.
“Luis Suarez is a phenomenon and I wish him the best,” said Neymar.
“The reunion has been very good, he’s a teammate and he’s a friend that I have in football, I love him a lot, he’s a phenomenon.
“We have swapped shirts over many years and we are great friends.
“I always wish him the best, he is a person that I love.”
Neymar will remain in the UK as he prepares for Brazil’s friendly with Cameroon in Milton Keynes on Tuesday.
