That’s the verdict of Spanish journalist Luis Alberto Rodriguez, who believes there is only a 30 per cent chance of Ronaldo heading to Turin.
And Juventus has emerged as his most likely destination, with claims he has an £88m (€100m) release clause which only applies to Italian clubs.
Neymar, meanwhile, has long been talked of as a replacement for Ronaldo, with snaring him more achievable after he left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain.
Rodriguez, who works for Radio Marca, says Real will have to have an agreement in place for Neymar if they are to let the Portuguese link up with Juventus.
“Over the rumours that circulate, the only possibility that CR7 goes to Juventus is that the Blancos already have a agreement with Neymar.
“Florentino Perez would never let a player like Ronaldo leave without having a great champion in his hand.
“Possible? At 30 percent. It is not excluded that the deal takes shape, even if it seems strange to the numbers that circulate.
“In Italy there is a desire to talk about football, especially without the World Cup. And, even in Spain, the summer starts to be long. The newspapers need to be filled.
“This does not mean that the parties have not met, but it is difficult for the negotiation to go really well.
“And on the alleged cancellation clause lowered from €1bn to €100m: It is not a credible figure.
“In today’s market it is absurd that such a player has such an assessment, despite the reaction of the fans of Real, who did not forget Ronaldo’s outburst after the Champions League final won against Liverpool.
“His statements in the post-game have ruined the party to a people, that of the Blancos, who have never accepted this kind of attitude. And some are tired of so much protagonism.”
